The Technology Transfer Office, established in 1991, is part of the Vice President for Research and Creative Activity division at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University.
Our Mission
At the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University Technology Transfer Office it is our mission to facilitate the transfer of intellectual property to business and industry through the development and management of a high-quality portfolio of diverse technologies; ensure intellectual property rights; negotiate and execute licensing agreements; and, when feasible, assist in the formation of start-up businesses that utilize the university's technology in order to provide benefits to the university as well as the regional economy.
Our Community
As a member of the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem, the office works closely with the Innovation Center, the university's small business incubator for high-tech and biotechnology startups; the Edison Biotechnology Institute, an interdisciplinary research facility focused on technology commercialization; , a public/private partnership that provides funding and entrepreneurial support for Southeast Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ; and the Center for Entrepreneurship, which offers academic and extracurricular programs for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University students.
