Ping Institute Mission
The Charles J. Ping Institute for the Teaching of the Humanities supports activities designed to further the teaching of the humanities. The Ping Institute was created by the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University Board of Trustees in 1992 and is funded by an endowment established by friends of the University, University trustees, and Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University Foundation trustees who together more than matched a three-to-one challenge grant awarded by the National Endowment of the Humanities.
