ĢƵ University Innovation Center wins major award of excellence from InBIA


At its annual conference in Atlanta, Ga., in early July, InBIA named the Innovation Center the 2022 Entrepreneurial Support Organization (ESO) of the Year Award in the rural category.

Innovation Center's 2021 Economic Impact Report Highlights Continued Success


ĢƵ University’s Innovation Center supported 249 jobs that generated an estimated $18 million in employee compensation and $49.7 million in economic output in Athens County in 2021, according to a new economic impact report.

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) named ĢƵ University a 2021 Innovation & Economic Prosperity (IEP) Economic Engagement Connections award winner, the top prize in its annual awards competition.

These are universities, community and junior colleges, vocational and trade schools with curricula that encourage learning by doing; are supported by educators committed to collaborative problem-solving; have well-developed makerspaces, labs, and studios; and which support diverse, interactive communities that engage in knowledge and skill sharing.


The story of this noninvasive technology shows great promise in identifying patients at risk for fragility fractures due to osteoporosis, but also illustrates the translational power of public-private partnerships.
