To the delight of Bobcats near and far, the cherry blossom trees on Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University's campus in Athens produce spectacular blooms each spring. OHIO is home to 230 cherry blossom trees and has been named one of the best places in the United States to see cherry blossoms outside of Washington, D.C.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University celebrated the beginning of Spring with the blossoming of the spectacular cherry trees and a visit from its cherished partners from Chubu University in Japan.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University’s nationally recognized cherry blossom trees mark the arrival of spring in Athens, and this year they should begin blooming in the last week of March or first week of April.
Between the annual blossoming of the cherry blossom trees and the solar eclipse, the natural world put on a show for OHIO's Athens campus this spring.

For a few weeks every spring, the Athens and OHIO community flock to the edges of the Hockhocking Adena Bikepath to enjoy what National Geographic has named one of the best spots to see cherry trees.
