Time Machine: Homecoming

Homecoming at ĢƵ University can be traced at least as far back as November 1919 when the student-published Green and White newspaper noted that the University football team was preparing for a “Home Coming” game. The last game of the University’s 1919 season carried the alumni slogan “Beat Denison,” in reference to the team’s scheduled opponent.

Born in a coastal city in eastern South Africa, Courtney Perrett, BSJ ’20, grew up in a close-knit family who taught her to care for the natural world, dream big and never give up on those dreams. They always encouraged her to fiercely pursue her goals, even if that meant moving to another continent at 19 years old.
