
New Byte-Sized Workshop Series offers faculty quick wins in course design

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University Office of Instructional Design (OID) is excited to announce Byte-Sized Course Design, a new microlearning workshop series launching this summer.
These short, high-impact sessions are designed to strengthen course design skills in 20 minutes or less, providing practical tools and strategies that faculty can apply immediately—whether they’re building a course from scratch or refining an existing one.
Each workshop focuses on a specific instructional challenge, with sessions scheduled throughout the first summer semester. With topics ranging from chunking content and estimating student workload to mapping courses and converting slide decks into engaging Canvas pages, there’s something for every teaching style and experience level.
