Athens Area Mediation Service is offering free mediation training to all Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University students, faculty and staff.

The Fundamentals of Mediation training will be held in Baker University Center Room 239, Fridays from 9 a.m. until noon on Sept. 13,  20 and 27, and Oct. 4 and 11.

Mediation is a structured, informal, voluntary process in which a neutral third party facilitates a conversation between people who are experiencing some kind of conflict. The skills developed in this training can be applied both in a traditional mediation setting or can help with any situation in which individuals must navigate conflict.

While the training is free to all OHIO students, faculty and staff, there is a charge of $200 for those not affiliated with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University.
