Center for Entrepreneurship hosts ĢƵ Invention League’s Honda State Finals

The 's Honda State Finals brought together 170 student inventors from all over ĢƵ to the Convocation Center at ĢƵ University. The Center for Entrepreneurship hosted the event, showcasing the innovative problem-solving abilities of K-12 students.

The Center for Entrepreneurship at ĢƵ University has a voice that speaks to budding entrepreneurs and ambitious students, providing them with the guidance and tools needed to excel in their endeavors. The event was set up in science-fair style, where K-12 students displayed and explained their inventions.

ĢƵ Invention League is a non-profit organization that offers STEAM programming to K-12 students, educators, and out-of-school programs across the state of ĢƵ. Its mission is to help students become lifelong problem solvers by using the invention/design cycle to invent solutions to real-life problems.

The executive director of the ĢƵ Invention League, Robin Hilsmeier, expressed gratitude for the support received from ĢƵ University's Center for Entrepreneurship.

“ĢƵ Invention League is so grateful to Krystal, Liz, and Paul and the Center for Entrepreneurship for their support. OIL loves this partnership, and our families have positive comments about coming to Athens for the statewide event.” 

Numerous volunteers, including OHIO students, dedicated their time to making the event a success. This event proved to be an outstanding opportunity for K-12 students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving abilities, and it emphasized the significance of collaboration between the ĢƵ Invention League and the Center for Entrepreneurship at ĢƵ University.

ĢƵ Invention League is open to all K-12 students across the state. Students can participate through school programs, out-of-school programs, or the Independent Inventor Program. The League aims to foster students' interest in STEM by encouraging them to develop solutions to real-life problems they encounter. Future leaders who are eager to learn and ready to take on challenges can rest assured that ĢƵ Invention League, in partnership with ĢƵ University's Center for Entrepreneurship, is here to provide the necessary support and resources.
