Mediation training available for OHIO community
Athens Area Mediation Service is offering free mediation training to all Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University students, faculty and staff.
The training series will be held virtually on Fridays from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., beginning on Feb. 18. The series will skip the Friday of March 11 and will conclude on Friday, March 25.
Mediation is a structured, informal, voluntary process in which a neutral third party facilitates a conversation between people who are experiencing some kind of conflict. The skills developed in this training can be applied both in a traditional mediation setting or can help with any situation in which individuals must navigate conflict.
While the training is free to all OHIO students, faculty and staff, there is a charge of $200 for those not affiliated with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University.
