Public health officials discuss University COVID response, vaccinations

During a Facebook Live event Wednesday, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University and local public health officials discussed the ongoing vaccination campaign, COVID protocols that OHIO students and employees can participate in to assure their health and safety, and the partnership between OHIO, Athens City-County Health Department and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµHealth to keep the community safe and combat COVID-19.

The discussion featured Dr. Gillian Ice, special assistant to the president for public health operations at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University; Ken Johnson, executive dean and chief medical affairs officer at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ University; and Jack Pepper, administrator of the Athens City-County Health Department. 

Samantha Pelham, OHIO media relations specialist, moderated the panel discussion, which included questions from the general public posted to OHIO’s social media channels.
