The David Hudnell Fund for Archaeological Research and Field School was established in 1997. It was created to honor the memory of David Hudnell, an Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University graduate in anthropology and archaeology who worked with the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University archaeological field schools from 1986 until his premature passing in 1996. Hudnell had a great love of archaeology and Native American culture, and he was instrumental in helping establish the strong reputation of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ University Field School.

The Hudnell Fund supports the operation of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Archaeological Field School and general student-based research in Archaeology. All money is focused on providing students with unique experiential learning experiences in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and beyond. Funds are used to conduct fieldwork, purchase field equipment, conduct laboratory analysis, and provide stipends to students to allow them to research and learn methods in archaeology. Faculty and students work on sites ranging from the oldest sites in North America to historic settlements in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.

Thank you for your kind contribution to support archaeology in Southeastern Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
